This site exists because I needed a place to dump thoughts and I'm not dressing it up as something meaningful.
What I'm Into
I spend most of my time buried in linguistics, tech (programming included), math, audio engineering, and history. Btw I listen to metal across different subgenres:
- Black Metal: Burzum, Mayhem, Mortuary Drape
- Blackened Death Metal: Behemoth
- Symphonic Black Metal: Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth
- Death Metal: Cannibal Corpse
- Thrash Metal: Slayer
- Gothic/Symphonic Metal: Yousei Teikoku, Epica
My taste isn't limited to metal though. I listen to Visual Kei (Malice Mizer, Moi dix Mois), Kayokyoku (Miki Matsubara, Mariya Takeuchi, Junko Yagami), and modern J-pop like Aimer, Kenshi Yonezu, and LiSA.
For films, I'm drawn to horror, thrillers, and romance. Anime's in the rotation too.
Reading-wise, Nietzsche, Epicurus, and Camus shaped a lot of how I think.
What I Hate
People who abuse cats and dogs. If you're one of them, get the fuck out.
I also don't like hardstyle. Hard to explain but something about it just pisses me off.
Why this site
I run my own site for full control over what I publish and to avoid depending on platforms that could vanish overnight. Medium, Substack, whatever, they're all one policy change or acquisition away from killing your work. This way, the content stays mine.
